  On the extreme western edge of town, up on the hillside by the traffic circle. If you are walking up from the beach area, there is a pedestrian underpass leading to the store. Adequate open air parking. Open during siesta hours. Full service produce, fish, meat, cheese and bakery counters. The bakery is uninspired. The produce section is not choose your own self-service, even those items you can pick up yourself (lower quality fruit, potatoes) across the aisle, must be weighed at the full service counter. There are no self-service scales. Fortunately most of the vegetables are labeled for those whose Spanish vocabulary is rusty. Full service gas station with car wash and convenience store. The convenience store is often open even when the main store is closed. Prices are about 10-15% higher than the same items sold inside the supermarket itself. Alimerka is an Asturian company founded in 1987, and is the largest employer in Asturias.

  Not a massive super market by English standards but big enough to get what you need. Not open Sundays and make sure you check to see if there are any Spanish holidays as it's closed on those days too.
